Om Mani Padme Hum

One of the oldest and most widely heard mantras in Tibet and Nepal, it is seen carved and painted in Tibetan script on stones and cliff faces. Literally, "the precious jewel within the lotus," it refers to the essential point of perfection carried by every human being.
